The difference between organic silicone and inorganic silicone

1. Organic silicone

Introduction: Organic silicone belongs to the category of special rubber in synthetic rubber, which is divided into solid and liquid according to its shape. Liquid state can be further divided into room temperature vulcanization type and high-temperature vulcanization type according to the vulcanization temperature. The fundamental structural unit of organic silicone products is composed of silicon oxygen chains, and the side chains are connected to various other organic groups through silicon atoms. Therefore, the structure of organosilicon commodity is rich in both "organic groups" and "inorganic structures". This special composition and molecular structure enable it to combine the characteristics of organic matter with the functions of inorganic compound.

Product characteristics: weather resistance, high and low temperature resistance, insulation, low surface tension.

Field of action: It can be used as a special material in aviation, * technology and military technology sectors, and also in various sectors of the national economy. Its scale of use has expanded to: construction, electronics and electrical, textile, automobile, machinery, leather and paper making, chemical and light industry, metal and paint, medicine and medical treatment, etc.

2. Inorganic silicone

Introduction: Inorganic silica gel is usually a transparent or milky white granular solid, which is a highly active adsorption material. It is usually made by reacting with sodium silicate and sulfuric acid, and undergoing a series of post-treatment processes such as aging and acid foaming to produce amorphous machine products. It is made by washing and processing mineral deposits that exist in nature into granular or bead shapes. The primary component of inorganic silica gel is silica, which is an amorphous machine made product made from sodium silicate and sulfuric acid in silica soil. Inorganic silica gel is formed by washing and processing mineral deposits that exist in nature, and becomes granular or bead like.

Product characteristics: High adsorption capacity, capable of adsorbing various materials and preserving water vapor, with good thermal stability, chemical stability, and high mechanical strength.

Scope of application: Inorganic silica gel usually chooses OPP/PE, PET/PE film, non-woven fabric, composite paper, etc. as packaging materials. Used for gas drying, gas absorption, liquid dehydration, chromatography, etc., also used as a catalyst. If participating in cobalt chloride, it turns blue when dry and red after absorbing water.
